Biographie
Peintre, graveuse, sculpteure et céramiste. Du figuratif à l'abstrait, en passant par les techniques mixtes, elle travaille avec une approche à plusieurs couches. Elle combine des médiums et des techniques, défie les limites, superpose de forme, de couleur et d'espace. Son travail est fortement lié à sa recherche constante d'identité, d'histoire culturelle et d'influences.
Une artiste professionnelle avec plus de trente ans de création artistique. Ses œuvres sont exposées localement et internationalement, notamment : le 7eme International Contemporary Miniprint Kazanlak, Bulgarie, 2019. Salon des Membres, Atelier Circulaire, Montréal, Québec, Canada 2018. Exposition internationale d'échange de gravures, Dunhuang, Chine, 2018. Zahra est titulaire d'un B.F.A. de l'Université Concordia 1996, Montréal, Canada, et d'un B.Sc. de l'Université d'Arizona, 1983, Tucson, Arizona, Etats Unis. Elle a participé à plusieurs résidences d'artistes et ateliers internationaux au Canada, aux Etats Unis, en Espagne, en Chine, en Jordanie, en Iran, au Bahreïn et au R.A.S.
Elle vit et travaille à Montréal, au Canada, où elle a établi son propre atelier et continue à créer et à enseigner l'art.
BIOGRAPHY
Painter, printmaker, sculptor and ceramist. From the figurative to the abstract, to the mixed media, she works with a multi-layered approach. Combines mediums and techniques, challengesboundaries, superimposes layers of form, color, and space. Her work is strongly linked to her constant search into identity, cultural history, and influences.
